| Song Title | Paper Airplanes (Makeshift Wings) |
| Group/Artist Name | AFI (A Fire Inside) |
| Song Meaning | This song is about fads and people who follow trends to stay "fashionable." The song says "as waves of plastic fame go out of fashion, you're goin out forever unknown," suggesting that trends will go out, making a person following them obsolete and "forever unknown." We see it every day. There's always someone who thinks that they're "the bomb," so to speak. But you can see straight through them. They have everyone on them, but you know that it'll pass soon and they'll be back to being 'forever unknown.' locale48.com/ |

| Song Title | Photofinnish |
| Group/Artist Name | 3OH!3 |
| Song Meaning | "It actually started out when we signed to Photo Finish. We wanted to do something to prank our label and have fun with our fans so I made a beat and sent it out to Sean and we came up with the idea to do a Photo Finish shoutout; it came out really dope. Before we went into the studio we expanded on the chorus and ended up saying f**k it and put it on the record. I think we walk that weird line between pop and rap so it fits well. Plus the people at our label kick ass and work really hard for us." -Nathaniel Motte |

| Song Title | Puff, the Magic Dragon |
| Group/Artist Name | Peter, Paul & Mary |
| Song Meaning | No, Puff, the Magic Dragon is not about marijuana, or any other type of drug. It is what its writers have always claimed it to be: a song about the innocence of childhood lost. The poem that formed the basis of the song Puff, the Magic Dragon was written in 1959 by Leonard Lipton, a nineteen-year-old Cornell student. Lipton was inspired by an Ogden Nash rhyme about a "Really-O Truly-O Dragon," and, using a dragon as the central figure, he came up with a poem about the end of childhood innocence. Lipton passed his work along to a friend, fellow Cornell student (and folk music enthusiast) Peter Yarrow, who put a melody to the words and wrote additional lyrics to create the song Puff, the Magic Dragon. After Yarrow teamed up with Mary Travers and Paul Stookey in 1961 to form Peter, Paul & Mary, the trio performed the song in live shows; their 1962 recording of Puff reached #2 on the Billboard charts in early 1963. src=h |
